Statement:
An installation developed for the 4th Kunming Biennale in 2018, during a month-long production residency hosted by the Yunnan Art Museum. The work, now in the museum’s collection, takes the form of a ‘gate’, with a painted paper canopy that can be raised or lowered off the ground via a system of ropes, pulleys and weights.
